PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency of the work with respect to an image forming device providing with an image server function by preventing the available capacity of a storing means which stores image data from becoming zero. SOLUTION: File servers 5 and 7, respectively provided with hard disks 6 and 8, are connected to an image forming device 1 via a network 4. Image data inputted from computers 2 and 3 are stored in a storing means incorporated in the image forming device 1, copied and then printed. At storing of the image data in the storing means, the available capacity of the storing means is prevented from becoming zero by managing the storing amount of the inputted image data, and when the available capacity becomes zero, by temporarily transferring the image data to the file servers 5 and 7 connected to the network 4, and so on.
