PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the device which has excellent oscillation characteristics by not putting a couple of crystal terminals connected to lead-out electrodes in the four corners of the reverse surface of a container and output electrode terminals provided in the four corners of a surface mount substrate, one over the other. SOLUTION: Mount electrodes 14a to 14d on a mount substrate 2 are a voltage input terminal Vc, an earth electrode GND, an output terminal OUT, and a power terminal DC counterlockwise on the basis of the left lower corner part. Terminal electrodes 10a to 10d of a surface mount vibrator 1 are crystal terminal X1 and X2 and earth terminals GND2 and GND1 clockwise. The earth terminals GND2 and GND1 of the surface mount vibrator 1 are put over the output terminal OUT and earth terminal GND of the mount substrate 2 and the crystal terminals X1 and X2 of the surface mount vibrator 1 are put over the voltage input terminal Vc and power terminal DC of the mount substrate 2 but not put over the output terminal OUT. The oscillation output of the surface mount oscillator does not interfare with the vibration of the crystal vibrator, so phase modulation and generation of phase nose, etc., are suppressed to make oscillation characteristics excellent.
