PRODUCTION OF LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly and easily remove a protruding part of a sealing material on the injection port of a liquid crystal so as to save the space for disposing a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device 1 is produced by applying a sealing material 3 to the peripheral region of a pair of substrates on which electrodes are formed, laminating the substrates 2, injecting a liquid crystal 5 into the space between the substrates 2 surrounded by the sealing material 3 through an injection port 4, and sealing the injection port 4 with a sealing material 6. Then while the liquid crystal display device is immersed in a permeable liquid, ultrasonics are applied to the device 1 to remove only the protruding part 7 of the sealing material 6.
