PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make diagnosable the abnormality of a scale built in an NC device while the scale is connected. SOLUTION: The detection signal from a scale 20 is supplied to a controller 10 which feedback-controls a motor 14 based on the position signal, so that a table 18 is maintained and controlled. A unit 22 is provided between the scale and the controller 10, the serial data transmitted from the scale 20 is blanched and supplied to an external personal computer 24, etc.
