PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an excellent printed image by reducing concentric fogging or developing irregularity in the vicinity of a boundary between an image part and a non-image part in an image forming device using a developing system performing development by making developer particles fly to space between an image carrier and a developing roll. SOLUTION: An area where the developer particles flying by developing electric field are concentrically retained exists on the upstream side and the downstream side of a developing area where the image carrier 1 and the developing roll 13 are opposed. Then, the device is provided with a retained developer particle removing device 20 removing the developer particles in the retained area. The device 20 is equipped with a sheet member 22 circularly moving on the surface of a stainless core material 21 and supporting rollers 23 and 24 for stretching and laying the member 22 and circularly moving the member 22, and a cleaning blade 27 cleaning the surface of the member 22. The developer particles in the retained area adhere to the member 22 and are carried to the outside of the retained area by the circular movement of the member 22. |
