PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve image processing for converting data obtained from a pixel array on which sensors are not overlapped into a completely extracted digital image, to attain conversion having no artifact and to improve resolution near a boundary between a plurality of targets and in a texture area. SOLUTION: The mosaic releasing method includes a step 31 for interpolating an original image and providing a start point value to lacking pixel intensity, a step 38 for dividing an image into a luminance band Y and two chrominance bands I, Q, smoothing directions by using optional known directional smoothing for the luminance band Y and isotropically smoothing the chrominance band by convolution, based on Gaussian kernel, a step 39 for converting the smoothed result into RGB expression again, a step 36 for resetting the pixel values of practically measured positions in each band to respective original positions, and a step 37 for repeating respective steps until the obtained image is converged. |
