PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance image quality and reliability. SOLUTION: This image forming device 1 is constituted of a plane-parallel prism shifting the optical path of a light beam from a 2nd laser diode LP2 in parallel, a photodetector PD detecting the light beams from a 1st laser diode LD1 and the 2nd laser diode LP2 and outputting electric signals and an actuator 114 turning the plane-parallel prism as much as prescribed amount based on the electric signal generated based on the laser beam LB from the diode LP2 out of the electric signals from the photodetector PD. Therefore, since a mutual interval between two laser beams can be precisely set, the interval of image data exposed at a photoreceptor drum 22 is uniformized. Thus, the image quality is enhanced.
