PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower a holder while putting a brake on it with a simple configuration, to reduce the abutting sound of the holder when the holder reaches a lower end, and to prevent the damage to a disk due to that the disk abuts on a turntable. SOLUTION: A sliding plate 6 is supported so as to be slid and displaced back and forth with respect to a base plate 7, and a holder 1 is guided for its vertical movement following the back and forth displacement of the sliding plate 6. Then, the sliding plate 6 is pressed to lower the holder 1 by pressing means 15 and 16. Also, a rack 30 is provided in the sliding plate 6, and a damper 32 is provided to soften a force applied to a pinion gear 31 engaged with the rack 30. Thus, the sliding speed of the sliding plate 6 is reduced, and the holder 1 is braked and lowered.
