<p>The invention relates to a gas sensor, especially for determining a concentration of a gas component in waste gases of combustion engines, comprising an essentially tubular housing in which at least one sensor element is fixed by at least one sealing arrangement, said sensor element extending axially and the at least one sealing arrangement delimiting a measuring chamber that faces towards the waste gas, inside the housing. The housing consists of an inner tube and an outer tube in the area of the measuring chamber in order to form an intermediate chamber, each of said tubes having at least one inlet for the waste gas in the measuring chamber and at least one outlet for the waste gas. According to the invention, a flow element (30, 32) for the waste gas is allocated to the at least one inlet (26) of the inner tube (22) and/or the least one inlet (24) of the outer tube (20). Said flow element deviates the waste gas that enters the intermediate chamber (23) formed by the inner tube (22) and the outer tube (20) and/or the measuring chamber (18) in the direction of the respective inner cover surfaces (38, 40) of the inner tube (22) and/or the outer tube (20).</p> |
