PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability by speedily switching the manual mode and motor drive mode of an object to be driven. SOLUTION: When a motor drive operation member 24 is operated, a signal which varies in output value with its manipulated variable is outputted and the output value is inputted to a motor drive operation decision circuit 25 and a motor control circuit 27. The motor drive operation decision circuit 25 discriminates between motor drive operation and manual operation according to the output value of the motor drive operation member 24. When the decision circuit 25 decides the motor drive, a motor control circuit 27 outputs voltage for motor drive corresponding to the output value of the motor drive operation member 24 to a motor 28 to rotate it, so that a zoom lens 21 can be driven. When the manual operation is decided, the output to the motor 28 is stopped. The output of the decision circuit 25, on the other hand, is sent to an electromagnetic clutch 26 and when the decision circuit 25 decides the motor drive, a current is supplied to the electromagnetic clutch 26 to make a connection. When the manual operation is decided, no current is supplied and the electromagnetic clutch 26 is released, so that the operation ring 29 can manually be operated. |
