The invention relates to a disposable filter for fuel (10, 40) which, in its entirety, can be thermally disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner by incineration. The filter comprises a housing in which a cup-shaped housing part (12, 42) and a cover (13, 43) are welded to one another on their edges in a sealed and permanent manner. In addition, both parts are comprised of a fiberglass-reinforced polyamide (PA66). The housing (11, 41) accommodates, in the interior thereof, a paper filter insert (22) that is flown around in a radial manner. The end caps (23, 24) of said filter insert are made of polyamide (PA6) and the filter insert is permanently fixed, by means of its annular end cap (24), to the cover (13, 43) of the housing.
