<p>An igniter and a header assembly that are used for automobile safety devices such as seatbelt pretensioners and airbags, and an igniter plug used for electric igniters in gas producers for vehicle airbag systems or seatbelt pretensioners. The igniter (A) comprises a header assembly (10) composed of a ceramic base plate (11), a heater (13) to be heated by a firing current from a sensor, and a lead pin (20) fixed to the ceramic base plate (11), an ignition charge (30) adapted to be ignited by the heat from the heater (13) to produce high temperature gases and thermal particulates, a resin plug (50) having a receiving space (51) for the ignition charge (30) and having the header assembly (10) embedded therein, and a cap (70) for sealing the ignition charge (30), which is charged in the receiving space (51). And the receiving space (51) has integrally provided therein a powder chamber (52) for direct charging of the ignition charge (30) therein and a cap fitting portion (54) positioned on the side of the opening (53) in the powder chamber (52).</p> |
