A large-scale industrial cyclone separator has a chamber (1) with a gas inlet (2), a gas outlet (3), and a solids discharge outlet (4). All or part of the chamber (1) inner surface (5) has a structured (6) rough surface (5), formed by numerous closely-adjacent structural elements. The gas inlet (2), outlet (3) and solid discharge outlet (4) inner surfaces also incorporated the rough structures (6).
