The bobbin with end flange disks, for winding yarns and the like, has a ring recess on the upper side of one or both end flange disks (1). The base of the recess is divided into segments (3,4) of different colors. A rotating cover (5) is over the recess, with openings (6,7) to expose the colored segments. The rotating cover clicks into various positions, as a circlip ring. The segments at the recess base are exchangeable colored base plates. The colors of the base plates can be in the form of letters, numbers or other symbols for the identification of the separate segments.
