The inventive fire protection glazing comprises at least two panes, which are bonded together by a spacing frame and an intermediate layer containing water, said layer filling the intermediate space between the panes. The spacing frame is made up of a bead that is applied to the edge area of a pane by extrusion. The bead consists of a butyl polymer that is obtained from 40 to 65 wt. % polyisobutylene, 10 to 25 wt. % lamp black and 10 to 40 wt. % inorganic filler. The formulation of the butylpolymer is selected within these limits, in such a way that at a temperature of 80 DEG C, it has a transversal elasticity modulus or a shear modulus G* of 1.2 to 2.2 MPa.
