摘要 Residual ductility determination is derived from a determined dependency of small angle neutron scattering (SANS) values (psi) and residual ductilities of calibration specimens. The ductility reserve of materials is estimated by: (a) testing, especially tensile testing, two or more specimens with different ductility reserves to determine the creep curve parameters ( alpha ) and/or the elongation at fracture values for calibration purposes; (b) detecting the respective small angle neutron scattering (SANS) curves of the calibration specimens to determine a test value (psi); (c) ranking or ordering the different ductility reserves according to the test values (psi); (d) determining the SANS curve and the test value (psi) for a specimen of the test material or a similar material with roughly the same creep curve parameter ( alpha ) and/or elongation at fracture value; and (e) determining the ductility reserve and/or elongation at fracture of the test material specimen from the determined dependency of the test values (psi) and the ductility reserves of the calibration specimens.
