The fabric (7) is circulated in a continuous loop in a jet autoclave by means of a fabric roller (6) and the forwarding action of an air jet (4) and a treatment liquor jet (5). The roller (6) is only driven till the speed of the fabric (7) reaches the roller speed. The roller (6) can be a reel driven through a free-wheel mechanism.
