New modification (IA) of oxytitanium phthalocyanine (I) has diffraction peaks at Bragg angles (2 eta /! 0.2 deg ) of 7.5 deg , 10.2 deg , 16.3 deg , 22.5 deg , 24.2 deg , 25.4 deg , 27.2 deg and 28.7 deg in the x-ray diffraction spectrum (0.1541 nm Cu K alpha ), with the highest intensity under the peak at 7.5 deg . Independent claims are also included for: (a) methods of preparing (IA); (b) phthalocyanine compositions (A) and (B), which contain (I) and a metal-free phthalocyanine (II) and have diffraction peaks at Bragg angles (2 eta /! deg ) of (A) 7.0 deg , 9.0 deg , 14.1 deg , 18.0 deg , 23.7 deg and 27.5 deg or (B) 7.0 deg , 9.3 deg , 10.5 deg , 13.1 deg , 20.6 deg , 23.7 deg , 26.2 deg and 27.2 deg ; (c) methods of preparing compositions (A) and (B).
