The layngoscope has a handgrip (12) and a spatula (14) attached to the handgrip so that it extends perpendicularly and incorporating a light conductor (32) and an image conductor (34), respectively aligned with a light opening and an image opening in the vicinity of the coupling (16) between the spatula and the handgrip. The handgrip has corresponding light and image openings for supplying light to the light conductor and receiving the image from the image conductor, coupled to an optical cable with light and image cable conductors.
