The data set extraction method has the nuclear spin phase-coded in two different directions with respective phase coding gradients, with read-out of the nuclear spin in a third direction via a read-out gradient, with repetition for different phase coding combinations. The process is repeated for providing 3-dimensional data sets for different time sections, with the time sequence of the phase coding combinations providing frequent scanning of the central section of the scanned 3-dimensional space relative to the outer regions.
