An optical connector plug comprises a front housing (1), a rear housing (2), a ferrule (3), a coil spring (4), and a fiber fixture (5). The ferrule (3) and the coil spring (4), together with the fiber fixture (5) that joins a tensile material and the fiber clad, are held within a space defined when the front housing (1) and the rear housing (2) are united. The structure is such that the components (1-5) can be inserted one after another and moved lengthwise into the space when the optical connector plug is assembled. Therefore, the optical connector plug is suitable for automatic assembly.
