The present invention discloses a new use of NO-releasing NSAIDs, especially NO-releasing NSAIDs of formula (I), or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or enantiomer thereof, for the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of bacterial infections, especially caused or mediated by <i>Helicobacter pylori</i>. Disclosed is also the new use of a NO-releasing NSAID in combination with an acid susceptible proton pump inhibitor for the treatment of bacterial infections. |
