<p>The invention provides a novel elementary cell structure which allows the distance between the sustain electrodes (33 and 34) to be increased without increasing the distance between the address electrodes (32 and 33) and without increasing the size of an elementary cell. The structure forming the subject of the invention comprises electrode arrays distributed over three separate planes. An address electrode (32) is placed between the two tiles (30 and 31) of the panel at a distance from each of the two other electrodes (33 and 34) of less than the distance separating the said two electrodes. Such a structure includes a single electrode on the front face, thereby improving the brightness of the panel. The invention also relates to the process for manufacturing such a panel.</p> |
