The load securing net has an open mesh provided by perpendicular retaining bands (4), provided on at least 2 opposing sides with fixed bands (7) and releasable bands (8), for securing the net to the opposite sides of a goods trailer load platform (2). The releasable bands have adjustable tensioning devices (12) for altering their length so that the net is tightened over the load (1).
