The slope hoist comprises a rail unit (4) which has two or more links connected together for articulated movement and each link having at least two rollers (8) lying on the rail lines (6,7) and two rollers engaging under or in the rail lines. A slide carriage can have two or more links. The rail unit or slide carriage has a rotary axis (11) across the travel direction on which the platform is fixed for swivel movement. The platform can be fitted with a hydraulic cylinder.
