PURPOSE: A door opening detection device for a microwave oven is provided to detect the door opening by a microcomputer via a door switch and a monitor switch instead of removing any additional door sensing switch, thereby simplifying the circuit arrangement and improving the productivity. CONSTITUTION: A door opening detection device for a microwave oven, includes a voltage detection part(11) for detecting a voltage change by receiving voltages in response to the turning on or off of a monitor switch(SW12) and a plurality of door switches(SW10,SW11), a microcomputer(10) for determining whether the door is opened or not according to the detected voltages of the voltage detection part, a key input part(10) for inputting manipulation instructions of a user to the microcomputer and a relay driving part(13) for driving a load by turning on or off a relay(RY10) under the control of the microcomputer.
