The production of printed eg. wool carpets comprises hot fixing (8) of the spun yarn at 102-120 degrees C for quilting (10) and eg. chemical fixing (13) prior to printing (15). The carpet is then treated against mites (16). The anti-mite treatment can be omitted in the case of carpets made of synthetic materials.
