PURPOSE: A position controller of a motor driving system is provided to output a pulse signal for controlling an operating speed and the position of a motor by using a low-cost counter. CONSTITUTION: A position controller comprises a counter section(10) including the first counter(11) which generates a pulse signal for controlling an operating speed and the position of a motor, and second and third counters(12,13) for outputting pulse signals in the forward and reverse directions. The first and second inverter(20,30) are provided to reverse the pulse signals outputted from the second and third counters(12,13). The first and second NAND gates(30,31) are provided to output control signals for operating the motor in the forward and reverse directions. A microcomputer(40) outputs a gate control signal for varying the number of pulse rows generated from the second and third counters(12,13).
