PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a heater for a cathode ray tube is provided to improve adhesion power and to prevent defect of works by spraying insulator with deposition. CONSTITUTION: A heater(11) is inserted into a sleeve(12) on which a cap(13), doped with a thermal electron emitting material, is covered. A tungsten wire is coiled with a proper size, and then a carbon sprayed for a good processing is removed within a hydrogen(H2) mood, and then a contaminated impurities when coiling is removed at about 1,450 celsius degree. An insulator(16) is sprayed on the heater(11) in order to prevent short between the coiled heater(11). An insulator spraying process is executed with deposition as an important process. An active metal of solid solution point like as Y, Zr, Nd, Ti, Hf is formed as an oxide(Y2O3, ZrO2, Nd2O2, TiO2, HfO3) layer. A surface of the heater(11) is made a blackening treatment with tungsten powder by dipping method and is washed and is completed to improve thermal radiation efficiency of the heater(11) and to expand the life of the heater(11).
