METHOD FOR INCREASING SECRETION RATE OF FOREIGN PROTEINS FROM YEASTS

PURPOSE: A method for increasing the secretion rate of foreign proteins from yeasts is provided, thereby the secretion rate of foreign proteins can be dramatically increased without losing their activity. CONSTITUTION: The secretion rate of foreign proteins from yeasts is increased by regulating the specific growth rate of yeasts into 0.05 through 0.09/hr during their incubation, in which the specific growth rate of yeasts can be regulated by adding fresh medium containing 3.5% of yeast extract, 3.5% of yeast peptone and 7% of glucose when the sugar in growth medium is exhausted during the incubation; yeast is Saccharomyces cerevisiae LBS 72(KCTC 0101BP); and the foreign protein is human granulocyte macrophage-colony stimulating factor(hGM-CSF).
