PURPOSE: A positive temperature coefficient thermistor is provided to prevent a contact error between a positive temperature coefficient thermistor element and a spring electrode section. CONSTITUTION: A positive temperature coefficient thermistor comprises an insulating case(100) consisting of four sidewalls(101), a lower wall(102) and an upper wall(104). Positive temperature coefficient thermistor elements(200,300) are vertically installed in the insulating case(100) in opposition to each other. A heating electrode section(401) of a common terminal plate(400) having plural fixing sections(412) is vertically installed between positive temperature coefficient thermistor elements(200,300). A contact(514) is formed at an end of a spring electrode section(501) which extends from a pair of terminal plates(500) so as to press outer portions of the positive temperature coefficient thermistor elements(200,300). A common terminal section(402) and a terminal section(502) are inserted into the lower wall(102) of the insulating case(100).
