PURPOSE: A measuring device of an actual speed of an ABS is provided to obtain the optimum braking effect by calculating an exact brake slip rate and precisely controlling a wheel cylinder. CONSTITUTION: A wheel for measuring a speed(9) is installed in a chassis through a link(10) to be rotatable. An actuating cylinder(11) is installed between the link(10) and the chassis to rotate the link clockwise or counter clockwise. A solenoid valve(12) is installed in the actuating cylinder(11) to be connected with a master cylinder through a pipe, to be operated by control current from an anti-lock brake system and to open and close the pipe between the master cylinder and the actuating cylinder. A wheel sensor(13) is installed near the wheel for measuring the speed to feed a speed of the wheel for measuring the speed into a controller. The controller controls hydraulic pressure of each wheel cylinder exactly by exactly detecting the actual speed of a vehicle and precisely calculating a slip rate. Thereby, the braking distance is minimized by preventing a lock of wheels.
