PURPOSE: A microwave oven with a variable opening part is provided to control an emission amount of microwave by controlling a cooking time and a size of an opening part at a side of a cook room, thereby carrying out the cooking under an optimum condition. CONSTITUTION: A microwave oven with a variable opening part includes an opening and closing element for opening and closing the opening part to adjust the size of the opening(5), and a conveying element for conveying the opening and closing element for controlling an amount of emitted microwave to be introduced into a cook room, wherein the opening and closing element includes an opening and closing plate(55) formed with a working piece(56) at a side and guide elements(57) formed at both sides of the opening part for guiding the opening and closing plate and an elongated hole(58) to be penetrated by the working piece, and the conveying element includes a motor(51) for generating rotation force with a motor shaft(52), and a worm gear(53) formed in the vicinity of the elongated hole of the guide element corresponding to the working piece, of which a side is fixed to the motor shaft and the other side is fixed to a bracket(54) rotatably.
