UNIT FOR CONTROLLING BROADCASTED CELL TRANSFER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output broadcast cells which can be broadcasted and transferred preferentially, when they are present by selecting a broadcast cell which can be transferred from among broadcast cells stored as 2nd and succeeding cells in a cell storage means, and reading out and transferring it by broadcasting when a first cell cannot be broadcasted and transferred due to congestion of a transferred destination. SOLUTION: A broadcast cell transfer queue part 1 stores broadcast cell data of broadcast cells inputted to a write control part 10 in the order of arrival at a cell storage part 11. A broadcast cell transfer destination information hold part 2 updates and stores congestion information reported periodically from a transfer destination congestion information extraction part 3 by a congestion information hold part 21, and a transfer cell decision part 22 collates transfer destination information of up to N cells from the transfer information hold part 20 against the congestion information from the congestion information hold part 21. Then the broadcast cell arriving the earliest among broadcast cells, whose transfer destinations are all free of congestion is decided as a broadcast cell which can be transferred and its cell number, is notified to a readout control part 13.
