PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for improving the jam processing operability from near respective inspection doors when a user moves from a normal position for the purpose of the jam processing of recording paper and opens the respective inspection doors with an image forming device of a copying machine, etc., having an elevation liquid crystal display for displaying a jam processing explanation diagram of the recording paper atop the device. SOLUTION: This device is so constituted that, when the jam is detected by respective jam detecting sensors 5a to 5c, the operator controls liquid crystal drive voltage 3 by a microcomputer 2 so as to automatically maximize the contrast of the liquid crystal display section of the elevation liquid crystal device 1 from near the door detected to be open by switch groups 4a to 4d detecting the open state of the respective inspection doors. |
