PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To process two kinds of music data compression-coded by the ATRA system and the MPEG 2 system independently at the same time. SOLUTION: A descrambler 32 descrambles a TS received from a front end section 31 and separates the descrambled TS packet into TS packets respectively including a main broadcast signal, download use MPEG audio data, downloading use ATRAC data and a GUI use MHEG script or the like. An MPEG audio decoder 35 decodes the MPEG audio data from the descrambler 32 and provides an output of the obtained audio data to a voice control section 36. An IEEE 1394 interface 37 outputs the TS packet including the ATRAC data from the descrambler 32 to an MD deck via an IEEE 1394 bus.
