<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speech communication device which is able to shorten a data transmission time by reducing a data amount to be transmitted, and is thereby able to reduce communication cost and a time before reproducing, and further, to provide a device and method for synthesizing speeches capable of synthesizing speeches by receiving only attribute data of a small amount of information as an input. SOLUTION: This speech synthesizing device comprises a speech waveform pattern storage means 24 for storing speech waveform patterns, waveform patterns of speeches, for each speech type, and a speech synthesizing means 23 which, based on a pronunciation data f specifying a type of a speech waveform pattern, fetches a speech waveform pattern corresponding thereto from the speech waveform pattern storage means 24, and also allocates a specified wavelength to the fetched speech waveform pattern based on the scale data e specifying one waveform length of the speech waveform pattern, and outputs the speech waveform pattern.</p> |
