<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separating device which allows the compressed portion of a compressed terminal to be easily separated from an electric wire. SOLUTION: This separation device is for separating a compressed portion 2b of a compressed terminal from an electric wire 1 which compressed terminal is formed by cutting the compressed portion 2b of the compressed terminal at the end of the electric wire 1 and forming a plurality of longitudinal grooves 5 so as to form the inner circumferential portion of the compressed portion 2b left on the electric wire 1 thin, at equal intervals in the circumferential direction. The separation device comprises a working base 7, hardware 8 for separation from which anchoring lugs 9 inwardly opposite to each other are protruded on both sides of the hardware in the direction of the length of the hardware which anchoring lugs 9 are anchored to two longitudinal grooves 5, 5 horizontally adjacent to each other on the side of the upper face of the compressed portion 2b placed on the base 7, a plurality of clamps 16 and 17 which grasp the required part of the compressed portion 2b and secure the compressed portion 2b, together with the electric wire on the base 7, and a jack 10 which pushes up one end of the hardware 8 for separation with the anchoring lugs 9 anchored to the two longitudinal grooves 5, 5.</p> |
