The invention relates to an immunoreactive HCV polypeptide composition comprising at least two HCV amino-acids sequences, each HCV sequence containing at least one epitope from a variable domain of a HCV peptide where the variable domain is either from the protein E1/NS1 being encoded from the amino-acid 384 to the amino-acid 414 of a polyprotein HCV or from the protein E1 being encoded from the amino-acid 215 to the amino-acid 255 of a protein HCV and where the areas of the variable domain of the amino-acid sequences are heterogeneous to one another and are derived from distinct HCV isolates, the composition being used for preparing vaccines to be administered in the treatment of HCV infections, especially of chronic infections.
