The present invention pertains to the construction and reconstruction of multiple-storeyed buildings and essentially relates to a structure for a multifunctional cable system for said buildings. The purpose of this invention is to create a multifunctional cable system for a multiple-storeyed building, wherein said system is mounted as a functional, universal and permanent component of the building and comprises a set of cables comprising power cables as well as low-current cables for various applications. The structure of the multifunctional cable system comprises storey cables that consist of a set of distinct cables comprising at least one power cable, at least one cable with a spiral pair and at least one fiberoptic cable. This invention also relates to a method for creating a multifunctional cable system for buildings under construction or restoration, wherein said method involves laying the cables according to the plans of the building and to those of the premises on the storeys. The cables are laid into segmented cradles in order to separate the power cable from the cables for the networks of low-current systems in the building. This invention further relates to a method for increasing the exploitation duration and reliability of the multifunctional cable system for the building, wherein said method involves, when laying the above-mentioned cables, mounting in parallel a power supply network as well as a separate network for low-current systems in the building. The networks are structured according to the building infrastructure and according to the plans of said building and to those of the premises on the different storeys.
