PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To edit graphics through simple operation. SOLUTION: The coordinate data of two diagonal points are received (S31) and a rectangle and control points are displayed based on the coordinate data (S32). When 'Defined' is inputted, a rectangle area designating process is terminated by displaying only the rectangle (S34). When the 'Defined' is not inputted, the coordinates of the point for correction inputted by a user are received (S35) and whether or not a control point which contains the inputted point in its corresponding vicinity exists is checked (S36). When a plurality of relevant control points exists, the control point which is the nearest to the inputted point is selected (S38 and S39) and the selected control point is corrected to the inputted point and a new rectangle and control points are displayed (S40).
