PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit the driver of a leading vehicle at the time of rank travel to enter a crossing with ease without being conscious of the remaining time of green signal display. SOLUTION: When a rank comes before a crossing, a leading vehicle transmits a present position, a rank length and the route (straight, turn right on left) in the crossing to a communication unit 8 installed in a shoulder of a road. Information and the remaining time of green signal display are transmitted to a center 7. The center 7 obtains necessary time that the last vehicle passes through the crossing and judges whether the last vehicle can cross the crossing from above time and the remaining time of green signal display. When it judges that the vehicle cannot pass, the prolonging time of green signal display is operated and it is transmitted to a signal controller 6. The signal controller 6 adds the prolonging time to the remaining time of green signal display and the display time of a green signal is prolonged until the last vehicle finishes passing the crossing.
