摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid crystal display device having a horizontal electric field system, a wide angle of visibility and good display characteristics and easily producible at a low cost by decreasing defects called as load traces which are display defects caused by loading on the display face and which are recognized for a long time even after the load is removed. SOLUTION: The top ends of a pixel electrode 10 and a counter electrode 11 are provided with bends 10a and 11a bent in the opposite direction to the alignment direction of a liquid crystal to a source wiring 12. The angleθe of the bends 10a and 11a from the source wiring 12 satisfies 1 deg.<θe<90 deg.. Thus, the direction of the electric field at the top ends of the pixel electrode 10 and the counter electrode 11 can be controlled to the direction where the liquid crystal is required to rotate, and the liquid crystal rotating in the opposite direction by loading can be quickly returned to the correct rotational direction. Therefore, the load traces quickly decrease and the display quality improves. Further, since a protective plate to prevent loading on the display face is not necessary, the production cost of the liquid crystal display device can be reduced.</p>
