PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To previously prevent an electronic(E) document from being altered by a third person or accessed by a third person pretending to be an authorized client even when an E document management device can not directly access an authentication system. SOLUTION: When a client 110 or 120 tries to access the E document management device 130, an authentication module 113 creates authentication result information consisting of user information, group information and random numbers and a message authenticator and transmits these created data to the device 130 and an authentication processing part 134 in the device 130 judges the result of connection processing on the basis of the authentication result information and the message authenticator.
