摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently eliminate the flare component of a photographed image due to an undesired diffraction light caused by the wavelength dependence of a diffractive lens in a digital camera having an image pickup optical system consisting of a refractive lens and the diffractive lens. SOLUTION: The method for eliminating the flair component of a digital camera provided with a photographing lens consisting of a refractive lens and a diffractive lens and an image pickup element that picks up an object image formed by this photographing lens includes a step (S5) where the image of a 1st frame is photographed, a step (S7) where a target part resulting in a flare is extracted from the image of the 1st frame, a step (S11) where the image of a 2nd frame is photographed in a way that the pixels of the image pickup element receiving the image of the target are not saturated, a step (S15) where a flare component and its position generated from the target part in the image of the 1st frame are calculated on the basis of the data of the target part of the 1st and 2nd frame images, and a step (S17) where the flare component is eliminated from the data of the photographed image of the 1st frame.
