<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a FAX-OCR system which considerably improves the service to an applicant of a form by enabling the applicant to recognize approximate waiting time for reception of the processing result at the time of transmission of the form. SOLUTION: The FAX-OCR system having a FAX reception part 4, a FAX transmission part 5 and a processing part 6 is provided with a monitor means 10 which monitors the processing state of each form, a processing state table 11 where forms belonging to each processing state at the present time are stored, an average termination required time table 13 where an average time required for termination of the processing for forms belonging to a pertinent processing state is stored according to each processing state, a waiting time calculation means 14 which calculates the waiting time for termination of the processing of a newly inputted form according to each average time required for termination stored in the average termination required time table and the processing state of respective forms stored in the processing condition table, and a waiting time transmission means 15 which transmits the calculated waiting time to a FAX terminal which is the transmission source of the newly inputted from through the FAX transmission part.</p> |
