<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To multiplex the PCR information via a simple constitution by latching and packeting the information equivalent to the time of a system clock in response to a timing signal that is synchronized with a prescribed timing signal of a video signal and then multiplexing the packeted information on a stream of video signals which are packeted in the relevant timing. SOLUTION: A synchronized timing signal I-20 is inputted to a multiplexing part 1-8 to multiplex the compressed packet data 1-7 and the packet data 1-18 on the PCR(program clock reference). The part 1-8 outputs the output data 1-7 of a compression processing part 1-2 as the data TS1-10 in the timing other than the PCR multiplexing timing. When an ODD signal (showing an odd field) is used as a timing signal 1-19, the PCR information can be multiplexed every 33 ms or so and accordingly can be outputted more than once within 100 ms, i.e., the standard of an MPEG 2 is satisfied.</p> |
