RECORDING MATERIAL AND RECORDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording material by which printed matter of desired size can be rapidly and easily formed. SOLUTION: A recording material, in which a resin layer consisting essentially of a polyester resin is provided on a supporting body, has continuous or intermittent grooves with depth of 45 to 90% of thickness of the recording material in line. The intermittent grooves respectively have groove widths of 15 to 130μm, groove lengths of 50 to 500μm and spaces between intermittent grooves of 30 to 300μm. By using this recording material, the printed matter of desired size can be rapidly and easily formed.
