PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unevenness in coating of a release agent. SOLUTION: The device is provided with press roll 120 forming a fixing nip part N between a fixing belt 110 by being brought into a pressurized contact with a back up roll 130 through the fixing belt 110 that is hung between a heating roll 140 and the backup roll 130 and circulated, an auxiliary heating means 123 heating the press roll 120 and a release agent coating means 150 coating the release agent by being abutted to the fixing belt 110 more downstream than the fixing nip part N and more upstream than the heat roll 140 concerning the circulating direction of the fixing belt 110. In this case, the release agent coating means 150 is arranged above the auxiliary heating means 123 and downstream of the fixing nip part N concerning a passing direction of recording material.
