PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positively chargeable electrophotographic photoreceptor for a high-speed copying machine and a printer by using a new organic material that has not been used as a charge transfer material for a photosensitive layer. SOLUTION: This electorphotographic photoreceptor is provide on a conductive substrate with a photosensitive layer containing a charge generating material and as the charge transfer material an electron transfer compound represented by the formula in which each of R1-R4 is an hydrogen atom or halogen atom or a 1-8C alkyl group or the like; and each of A and B is an oxygen atom or =CR5R6 and each of R5 and R6 is a cyano or an alkoxy group.
